The Giants did not reach, did not trade up, did not blink. They just waited, and Jake Golday fell into the Round 3 slot.
They covered a lot of ground and still skipped interior defensive lineman, which is a strange place to end up. The Giants paired the rookies with proven help, A.J. Brown leading the way.
Good work on the whole, with interior defensive lineman the one box left unchecked.
Pick-by-Pick
In Round 1, Pick 23 they get a security blanket over the middle at fair value.
No drama and no debate, Jonah Coleman went about where he belonged in pick 62. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Jake Golday in the 94th overall pick should not have been possible, and that is the whole point. A need, and now a little less of one.
The board fumbled Kyle Louis all the way to No. 105, and they scooped it up. A minor itch, scratched.
Bishop Fitzgerald slid further than he should have, and the Round 4 slot is lovely value for the safety. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
They took CJ Daniels at par in slot 145, which is nothing to complain about. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
By-the-book stuff, Sawyer Robertson at pick No. 203 squarely in line with his ranking. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
