Tennessee Titans

No fireworks, just a tidy B+ for the Titans.

For all the boxes ticked, the Titans skipped the loudest one: edge rusher is exactly as bare as it was.

The Pavia pick is the one the value grade keeps tripping over. Pregnon falling to them is the kind of break a good board is built to catch. The Tuli Tuipulotu deal gives the class an established piece to lean on.

Bottom line, more hits than misses and a roster nudged the right way.

Pick-by-Pick

R1.22 · Pick 22 · Omar Cooper Jr. · WR · rank 35
They jumped the gun on Omar Cooper Jr., taking him earlier than his grade liked. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
R2.3 · Pick 35 · D'Angelo Ponds · CB · rank 48
A reach for D'Angelo Ponds in pick 35; a little patience would have been rewarded. A quiet depth add at a thin-ish spot.
R2.23 · Pick 55 · Emmanuel Pregnon · OG · rank 39
Emmanuel Pregnon is a better player than the Round 2 slot suggests; smart patience, rewarded. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
R3.2 · Pick 66 · Jacob Rodriguez · LB · rank 52
Jacob Rodriguez at Round 3, Pick 2 is money in the bank, a linebacker taken below his worth. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
R3.22 · Pick 86 · Connor Lew · C · rank 84
Connor Lew in pick No. 86 is exactly on the number, no argument either way. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
R4.1 · Pick 101 · Bryce Lance · WR · rank 96
A clean, defensible pick in the 101st pick with a little surplus value in Bryce Lance. It fills a real need, too.
R5.2 · Pick 142 · Kaytron Allen · RB · rank 149
By-the-book stuff, Kaytron Allen at No. 142 squarely in line with his ranking. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
R5.4 · Pick 144 · Harold Perkins Jr. · LB · rank 134
Harold Perkins Jr. slid further than he should have, and the 144th overall pick is lovely value for the linebacker. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
R6.3 · Pick 184 · Domani Jackson · CB · rank 178
Domani Jackson in slot 184 is fine work, a shade of surplus and no downside. They added to a strength when a need was still open elsewhere.
R6.13 · Pick 194 · Jalen Stroman · S · rank 204
They went early on Jalen Stroman in the Round 6 slot, and the value did not follow. A minor itch, scratched.
R7.9 · Pick 225 · Diego Pavia · QB · rank 244
They left a pile of value on the table to take Diego Pavia this early at the 225th overall pick. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
