No fireworks, just a tidy B- for the Cowboys.

The rest of the league had time to spare on Sedrick Van Pran; the Cowboys did not wait, grabbing him 34 spots ahead at the 56th overall pick. More right than wrong, and a B- to match.
They punted on quarterback, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest. Job largely done: wide receiver settled and 6 of 8 of the wish list covered.
The offense got the lion's share of the attention.
Not a headline-grabber, but a perfectly good weekend's work.
Pick-by-Pick
In pick No. 24 they get a true top target. The biggest hole, addressed.
A wild overpay on Sedrick Van Pran in the 56th pick, the sort that defines a class for the wrong reasons. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
No drama and no debate, Bucky Irving went about where he belonged in the Round 3 slot. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
By-the-book stuff, Cedric Gray at No. 124 squarely in line with his ranking. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
This one needs a full-page explanation: Kenny Logan Jr. in Round 5, Pick 38, miles early. Depth more than a fix, but depth they can use.
Daequan Hardy at slot 212 is right where the board had him, plain and simple. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Evan Anderson in pick 245 is a bet on their own eyes over everyone else's grade. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
