Somewhere a general manager is explaining how Kenyon Sadiq got past him. The Lions do not have to explain a thing at slot 222. Good, not great, and the B+ says as much.
If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through safety. They squeezed a little extra out of every move they made.
The roster is better shaped than it was, with cornerback chief among the fixes.
In sum, a sensible class that nudges the roster the right way.
Pick-by-Pick
In the Round 1 slot they get a premier pass rusher, outstanding value to boot. Exactly the need they had to hit.
Taking Spencer Fano in the 43rd overall pick is close to grand larceny; an offensive lineman that good had no business lasting this long. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Mansoor Delane in No. 72 is the kind of fall that makes a whole class. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
They will replay Jordyn Tyson at slot 105 for years; that is how good the value is. It fills a real need, too.
Kayden McDonald in Round 6, Pick 18 should not have been possible, and that is the whole point. Depth more than a fix, but depth they can use.
Kenyon Sadiq at pick No. 222 is a first-round grade at a bargain-bin price, no notes. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
