Some picks age like wine; Richard Jibunor at slot 245 will need to, sitting 79 spots clear of his grade. Solid and sensible more than spectacular: a B.
On value alone, Means makes the weekend a net positive. They punted on edge rusher, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest.
In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the edge rusher spot they never got to.
Pick-by-Pick
In pick No. 25 they get a cornerstone up front at fair value. A real need, handled.
Javon Bullard at the Round 2 slot is right where the board had him, plain and simple. A minor itch, scratched.
The board had cheaper options than Max Melton at slot 58, and it noticed. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
They left a pile of value on the table to take Braelon Allen this early at Round 3, Pick 22. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Jeremiah Trotter Jr. slid further than he should have, and the 88th overall pick is lovely value for the linebacker. Useful body for a position without much behind the starter.
Zak Zinter at No. 91 is the pick scouts circle, and not in a good way. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Beaux Limmer at Round 4, Pick 26 is a steep price for a hunch, hard to square with any board. The roster fit checks out.

A real head-scratcher, Sam Hartman in pick 202 is miles ahead of his ranking. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.

A wild overpay on Logan Lee in slot 219, the sort that defines a class for the wrong reasons. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
