The value of the weekend has a name and a slot: Domonique Orange, the 111th overall pick, roughly 35 picks past where he belonged. Nothing here to lose sleep over; call it a B-.
The dealing is the wound this class cannot quite close. The quarterback hole is the one line item this class does not answer.
They left with safety solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off. Stockpiling next year's capital is patient, if unglamorous, asset work.

Pick-by-Pick
A straight-up fair deal on A.J. Haulcy at slot 49, value and slot in agreement. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Nice patience on Anthony Hill Jr., who had no business lasting to the Round 2 slot. A quiet depth add at a thin-ish spot.
They barely believed it either: Germie Bernard still on the board at Round 3, Pick 18. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
A quiet steal in pick 97: Connor Lew for less than the market said. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Domonique Orange in pick No. 111 is the kind of fall that makes a whole class. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
A slide stopped in the 234th overall pick, with Thaddeus Dixon worth more than the price. A minor need, but a need all the same.
Quietly one of the better values of the day, TJ Hall at the 235th pick. They doubled down on a strength rather than a need.
Zavion Thomas at No. 244 is the steal of the weekend, a first-round talent at a bargain-bin price. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
