Give the war room a raise for the dealing alone. The Patriots came out ahead on every exchange that mattered, and it was not close.
If one pick saves this weekend, it is Riley. If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through edge rusher. The veteran additions, Joe Alt chief among them, give the class a floor the rookies alone would not.
The roster is better shaped than it was, with safety chief among the fixes.
Good work on the whole, with edge rusher the one box left unchecked.

Omarion Hampton at slot 34 is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. The roster fit checks out.
The board fumbled Quincy Riley all the way to No. 92, and they scooped it up. A minor need, but a need all the same.
Quietly one of the better values of the day, Sonny Styles at pick 98. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Nick Emmanwori at the 125th overall pick is right where the board had him, plain and simple. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
