The CJ Daniels selection is the head-turner. The Patriots reached 66 spots for him, and it will define how this weekend is remembered.

Getting Horton where they did is the sort of value that quietly makes a class. Every deal seemed to tilt their way, which is not luck. For all the activity, edge rusher went untouched, which is hard to explain.

The offense got the lion's share of the attention.

Good work on the whole, with edge rusher the one box left unchecked.
