The trade table was a mismatch, and the Patriots were on the right end of it, hauling in a fortune in surplus value.
Frazier has a lot of ground to make up just to look fairly priced. They will regret leaving edge rusher for another day if the season turns on it.
Good work on the whole, with edge rusher the one box left unchecked.
Pick-by-Pick
Quincy Riley in Round 3, Pick 2 is exactly on the number, no argument either way. It adds depth where they could use a little.
Tyler Warren at pick No. 121 is money in the bank, a tight end taken below his worth. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
CJ Daniels at slot 152 is the pick scouts circle, and not in a good way. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Hunter Wohler at the Round 5 slot is a clear overpay, with better names still on the board. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
They talked themselves into Miles Frazier at the 194th pick, and the board did not agree. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
