Call it a hunch or call it a gamble, but the Patriots spent the 211th pick on Lorenzo Styles Jr., a name most had 192 spots down the list. The sum of the weekend is a deserved A-.

Nussmeier at that cost is the sort of edge that compounds over a roster. They robbed the room blind at the table, and it lifts the grade on its own. The Patriots paired the rookies with proven help, Joe Alt leading the way.

In the end it comes back to Malaki Starks, and a haul good enough to build on right away.
