The Patriots ran the phones like sharks, prying loose value on deal after deal until the ledger was lopsided. A dependable weekend that grades out a B.

They covered a lot of ground and still skipped edge rusher, which is a strange place to end up. They are betting Warren proves the room right and everyone else wrong. The imported veterans give this class a floor the draft picks could not on their own.

All told, a draft that does its job without fuss, and there is real value in that.
