Somebody in pick 88 was going to get robbed, and it turned out to be the rest of the league. The Patriots sat still while Quinshon Judkins, the No. 22 name on the board, slid all the way to them, then sprinted to the podium. The sum of the weekend is a deserved A-.
They robbed the room blind at the table, and it lifts the grade on its own. The edge rusher hole is the one line item this class does not answer. The veteran additions, Joe Alt chief among them, give the class a floor the rookies alone would not.
Add it up and this is about as clean as a draft weekend gets.
Pick-by-Pick
They robbed the room for Travis Hunter here, a fall nobody at the table saw coming. A minor itch, scratched.
Kenneth Grant in the Round 2 slot is the kind of fall that makes a whole class. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Somehow Colston Loveland was still sitting there in pick No. 56, and they pounced on premier tight end value. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
They barely believed it either: Quinshon Judkins still on the board at slot 88. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
They will replay Sonny Styles at pick 117 for years; that is how good the value is. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Oscar Delp at the 130th overall pick is a first-round grade at a bargain-bin price, no notes. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
