Give the war room a raise for the dealing alone. The Patriots came out ahead on every exchange that mattered, and it was not close.
They covered a lot of ground and still skipped edge rusher, which is a strange place to end up. The Warren reach is the anchor dragging on the value grade.
On value alone, Ersery makes the weekend a net positive. The Patriots paired the rookies with proven help, Joe Alt leading the way.
A competent weekend that does not make headlines and does not need to.
Pick-by-Pick
They paid sticker price for Xavier Nwankpa in the Round 2 slot, and that is fine. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
