The Cowboys torched the value chart for Trey Zuhn III, taking him 46 spots sooner than anyone had him slotted.
The trade ledger is the best part of the whole weekend. That is an interior defensive lineman worth more than the slot they spent on him, plainly.
The quarterback spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at.
Good work on the whole, with quarterback the one box left unchecked.
Pick-by-Pick
In pick 18 they get a green-dot type in the middle, outstanding value to boot. The biggest hole, addressed.
In the 27th pick they get a lockdown presence outside, a steep price for the projection. Exactly the need they had to hit.
Josiah Trotter at pick No. 58 is right where the board had him, plain and simple. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Quietly one of the better values of the day, Domonique Orange at No. 92. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Treydan Stukes is a better player than the Round 4 slot suggests; smart patience, rewarded. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
A quiet steal in slot 152: CJ Daniels for less than the market said. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Nothing to complain about; Kaleb Elarms-Orr went a shade earlier than his grade, which is fine. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Trey Zuhn III at slot 200 is the pick scouts circle, and not in a good way. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
A straight-up fair deal on Thaddeus Dixon at Round 7, Pick 2, value and slot in agreement. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
