The move everyone will second-guess came early. The Packers reached some 173 spots for Taulia Tagovailoa, and value like that does not grow back.

They covered a lot of ground and still skipped tight end, which is a strange place to end up. Getting Thomas Jr. where they did is the sort of value that quietly makes a class.

Edge rusher was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job. Building through the lines is a philosophy, and they stuck to it.

Good work on the whole, with tight end the one box left unchecked.
