The Patriots did not reach, did not trade up, did not blink. They just waited, and Trey Amos fell into the Round 7 slot.

The quarterback hole is the one line item this class does not answer. The hoard sets up next April more than it helps this September.

The roster is better shaped than it was, with edge rusher chief among the fixes.

Add it up and it is a good, unfussy class.
