Call it belief, call it a gut call, but Drew Allar at the 87th overall pick is 66 spots clear of consensus, and that is the headline.

Haulcy at that cost is the sort of edge that compounds over a roster. The Steelers indulged a want in Pregnon while a need in tight end stayed open.

They covered a lot of ground and still skipped tight end, which is a strange place to end up. The dealing nudged the ledger their way without much fuss.

Not a headline-grabber, but a perfectly good weekend's work.
