They finally answered the question that shadows every other one. Drake Maye is the Giants' quarterback, full stop. It does the job without flash, and the B- reflects it.
Landing Odunze that late papers over a lot of smaller sins. They will regret leaving interior defensive lineman for another day if the season turns on it.
The cost of the Guyton reach is exactly the players who went right after him.
All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but interior defensive lineman.
Pick-by-Pick
In pick 5 they get the face of the franchise at fair value.
The board fumbled Rome Odunze all the way to Round 2, Pick 5, and they scooped it up. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
They went early on Tyler Guyton in the Round 2 slot, and the value did not follow. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
They took Caelen Carson at par in the 69th pick, which is nothing to complain about. The roster fit checks out.
Audric Estime at pick No. 105 is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
