Thirty-one other rooms let Lee Hunter slide, and the Browns were the ones holding the card at the Round 4 slot. Highway robbery. The bottom line is a respectable B.
Jackson has a lot of ground to make up just to look fairly priced. They punted on quarterback, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest.
They gave back a little on the phones for the right to move. They left with wide receiver solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off.
Nothing here to lose sleep over, and plenty to feel decent about.
Pick-by-Pick
In pick No. 12 they get a home-run threat at receiver at fair value. The biggest hole, addressed.
In pick 24 they get a long-term starter on the line. A real need, handled.
Value with a capital V on Chris Brazzell II in the 39th pick, a genuine coup. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
They barely believed it either: Max Iheanachor still on the board at Round 3, Pick 6. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Jake Slaughter at No. 107 is daylight robbery; nobody expected him to last. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Lee Hunter in the 112th overall pick is the kind of fall that makes a whole class. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
They took Kaytron Allen at par in slot 146, which is nothing to complain about. It fills a real need, too.
A real head-scratcher, Domani Jackson in the Round 5 slot is miles ahead of his ranking. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Bryce Boettcher at pick No. 152 is the kind of overdraft that needs everything to break right. It thickens a room that could stand to be thicker.
Circle this one: Aamil Wagner at the 206th pick is a fall that decides a draft. A need, and now a little less of one.
A slide stopped in the Round 7 slot, with Josh Cuevas worth more than the price. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
