For all the names on the card, the loudest question went unanswered. The Eagles walked out of the weekend still thin at interior defensive lineman, a hole that has a way of deciding seasons. It nets out to a B+, which feels about right.
The Kinchens pick alone nudges the whole weekend up a notch. Reaching for Henderson left real value on the table behind him.
A modest surplus at the table, banked quietly. Cornerback is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.
Nothing here to lose sleep over, and plenty to feel decent about.
Pick-by-Pick
In No. 22 they get a sticky cover corner. The biggest hole, addressed.
A slide stopped in the 50th pick, with Kamren Kinchens worth more than the price. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
No edge and no loss on Jeremiah Trotter Jr. in pick 54; it is a wash and a sensible one. It adds depth where they could use a little.
LaDarius Henderson at slot 160 is a conviction pick that outran the value. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Layden Robinson in the Round 5 slot is exactly on the number, no argument either way. A need, and now a little less of one.
A straight-up fair deal on Grayson Murphy at the 171st overall pick, value and slot in agreement. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
No drama and no debate, Frank Gore Jr. went about where he belonged in pick No. 178. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Jha'Quan Jackson in Round 7, Pick 20 is a bargain the rest of the room will envy. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
