When a board-topper like Wyatt Milum slides to pick No. 190, you do not overthink it, and the Cowboys did not.
Leaving tight end unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. They squeezed a little extra out of every move they made. The roster is better shaped than it was, with wide receiver chief among the fixes.
A workmanlike haul that should hold up just fine.

In slot 13 they get a workhorse for the backfield at a price that makes it sweeter.
Cam Ward in pick No. 44 should not have been possible, and that is the whole point. It fills a real need, too.

Circle this one: Garrett Nussmeier at the 171st overall pick is a fall that decides a draft. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
The board fumbled Wyatt Milum all the way to the Round 6 slot, and they scooped it up. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
You do not let a linebacker like Smael Mondon Jr. reach the 209th pick and blink. They did not. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
