The Chiefs spent the weekend waiting on one name, and it fell: TreVeyon Henderson, the No. 70 name on the board, in pick 133.
The wide receiver spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at. They will answer for taking safety early while wide receiver, tight end and other spots went begging. Job largely done: offensive lineman settled and 3 of 8 of the wish list covered.
In short, they left a little better than they arrived, which is the whole idea.
Pick-by-Pick
In slot 32 they get an anchor for the offensive line. Exactly the need they had to hit.
Malaki Starks in Round 2, Pick 32 should not have been possible, and that is the whole point. Depth more than a fix, but depth they can use.
A curious use of No. 68. Wide receiver, tight end and other spots needed the pick; a safety in Malachi Moore did not.
They barely believed it either: Tyleik Williams still on the board at the 96th pick. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
The board fumbled TreVeyon Henderson all the way to the 133rd overall pick, and they scooped it up. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Nice patience on Garrett Dellinger, who had no business lasting to pick No. 254. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
