The value of the weekend has a name and a slot: Ro Torrence, pick 233, roughly 54 picks past where he belonged. A sturdy weekend that grades out a B.
The Solomon pick is the one the value grade keeps tripping over. Spending an early pick on OLB-EDGE with quarterback, tight end and other spots open is the decision the grade keeps circling back to. The quarterback hole is the one line item this class does not answer.
They went 5 of 8 on their needs, which is most of what a draft is for.
In short, they left a little better than they arrived, which is the whole idea.
