The Eagles spent the weekend waiting on one name, and it fell: Treydan Stukes, the No. 72 name on the board, in the 98th overall pick. They moved the roster forward and banked a B for it.
They punted on edge rusher, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest. They went 6 of 9 on their needs, which is most of what a draft is for.
Building through the lines is a philosophy, and they stuck to it.
A competent weekend that does not make headlines and does not need to.
Pick-by-Pick
In the 23rd pick they get a plug-and-play piece up front. A clean fit for the roster.
They stopped a slide they were happy to see, landing Caleb Banks in slot 54. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
They let Eli Stowers come to them and pounced at pick No. 68. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Treydan Stukes in pick 98 should not have been possible, and that is the whole point. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
By-the-book stuff, Billy Schrauth at Round 4, Pick 14 squarely in line with his ranking. It fills a real need, too.
Jakobe Thomas at No. 137 is right where the board had him, plain and simple. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Louis Moore slipping to the Round 5 slot is the kind of luck good rooms make for themselves. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Nothing to complain about; Taylen Green went a shade earlier than his grade, which is fine. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
