The Dolphins looked at the value chart, folded it up, and took Mikail Kamara at pick No. 116 regardless, 38 picks early.

However the rest shakes out, Scott at that price is a win they earned. It is not that Johnson is a bad player; it is that the Dolphins had louder needs to answer first.

If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through interior defensive lineman. On the needs board they went 4 of 8, with quarterback the one that mattered most.

In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the interior defensive lineman spot they never got to.
