Nobody had John Michael Gyllenborg this high, and it is not close. The Eagles reached 84 spots to get him at pick 153.
On value alone, Klubnik makes the weekend a net positive. Every deal seemed to tilt their way, which is not luck. If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through cornerback.
Edge rusher was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.
A tidy weekend of work that should hold up just fine.
Pick-by-Pick
In Round 1, Pick 4 they get an enforcer at safety. A clean fit for the roster.
A market-rate edge rusher, with the board and the slot shaking hands on Derrick Moore. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
No edge and no loss on Drew Shelton in the 98th overall pick; it is a wash and a sensible one. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Kaytron Allen in the Round 4 slot is a bet on their own eyes over everyone else's grade. A need, and now a little less of one.
