Nobody had Marcus Allen this high, and it is not close. The Rams reached 95 spots to get him at pick No. 232. It nets out to a B, which feels about right.
They won the margins on every swap, and it adds up fast. They punted on running back, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest.
Bottom line, more hits than misses and a roster nudged the right way.
Pick-by-Pick
In slot 2 they get a downhill thumper at linebacker. Need was not the driver here.
Eli Stowers at Round 2, Pick 29 nudges the ledger their way without any fuss. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Jude Bowry at the 140th overall pick is money in the bank, a offensive lineman taken below his worth. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
