If confidence were a draft strategy, the Seahawks would have aced it. Armoni Goodwin at the 235th pick is 155 spots clear of where he belonged.
That offensive lineman hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall. The Lukas Van Ness deal gives the class an established piece to lean on.
They banked enough surplus on Hood to cover a lot of smaller sins.

Pick-by-Pick
In No. 32 they get a ballhawk on the outside at a price that makes it sweeter. Need was not the driver here.
Caleb Douglas in slot 163 is exactly on the number, no argument either way. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Trey Moore at the 188th pick nudges the ledger their way without any fuss. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Armoni Goodwin at the 235th overall pick is an overdraft of the loud, memorable kind. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
They reached a country mile for DeVonta Smith at the Round 7 slot, and the board is aghast. They added to a strength when a need was still open elsewhere.
