Boards are made to be trusted, and the Patriots shredded theirs for Jalen Rivers. He came off 100 spots early, and the room will hear about it. No fireworks, but a solid B+.
On value alone, Stutsman makes the weekend a net positive. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped edge rusher, which is a strange place to end up.
The dealing nudged the ledger their way without much fuss.
All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but edge rusher.
Pick-by-Pick
In the 19th overall pick they get an anchor for the offensive line, a steep price for the projection. A clean fit for the roster.
Tyler Booker in the Round 2 slot is fair value, right on his grade. The roster fit checks out.
By-the-book stuff, Deone Walker at No. 69 squarely in line with his ranking. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Somehow Tyleik Williams was still sitting there in the 77th pick, and they pounced on premier interior defensive lineman value. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Carson Schwesinger in slot 105 is a bet on their own eyes over everyone else's grade. It thickens a room that could stand to be thicker.
Steal is underselling it; Danny Stutsman at pick 143 is a heist with the alarm still ringing. Depth on depth, at a spot that was hardly crying out.
This one needs a full-page explanation: Nick Nash in pick No. 217, miles early. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
A big swing on Jalen Rivers at the Round 7 slot, well ahead of any board in the building. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
RJ Harvey at Round 7, Pick 25 is a steep price for a hunch, hard to square with any board. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
