The board owed the Packers one, and it paid up: Johnny Dixon, the No. 126 name on the board, sitting there at the 203rd pick like a gift left on the doorstep. Call it a sensible B-, earned the boring way.

Reaching for Sherman left real value on the table behind him. That quarterback hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall. They were the ones paying the moving tax this weekend.

In sum, a sensible class that nudges the roster the right way.
