The steal of the weekend belongs to the Commanders and Newton: A-.

The trade table was a mismatch, and the Commanders were on the right end of it, hauling in a fortune in surplus value.

However the rest shakes out, Newton at that price is a win they earned. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped quarterback, which is a strange place to end up. They will need Powers-Johnson to outplay his draft slot in a hurry to justify it.

They will answer for taking TE-EDGE early while quarterback and interior defensive lineman went begging.

A strong weekend's work, and a rare one to find this little fault with.
