This is the pick they will still be bragging about in July: Johnny Dixon, the No. 181 name on the board, stolen at pick No. 231. A sturdy weekend that grades out a B-.
They are betting Laumea proves the room right and everyone else wrong. If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through wide receiver.
In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the wide receiver spot they never got to.

In pick 24 they get a building block for the line at fair value. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
A swing that ignored the value entirely, Jaylen Wright well ahead of where he belonged. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Sataoa Laumea at the 87th overall pick is the kind of overdraft that needs everything to break right. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Jaylan Ford at Round 5, Pick 37 is a steep price for a hunch, hard to square with any board. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Myles Murphy in slot 213 is fair value, right on his grade. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
A cornerback of that caliber at the Round 7 slot is the definition of value, full stop. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
