The Commanders torched the value chart for Oluwafemi Oladejo, taking him 93 spots sooner than anyone had him slotted. Good, not great, and the B- says as much.
If one pick saves this weekend, it is Bryant. The wide receiver spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at.
Building through the lines is a philosophy, and they stuck to it.
In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the wide receiver spot they never got to.
Pick-by-Pick
In the 29th pick they get a quarterback's worst nightmare. A real need, handled.
They let Aireontae Ersery come to them and pounced at pick 61. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
They will replay TreVeyon Henderson at Round 3, Pick 15 for years; that is how good the value is. It fills a real need, too.
Oluwafemi Oladejo at No. 148 is an overdraft of the loud, memorable kind. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
They left a pile of value on the table to take Jalen Travis this early at pick No. 207. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Alijah Huzzie in the 238th overall pick is a gift, value that borders on unfair. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Cobee Bryant at the Round 7 slot is daylight robbery; nobody expected him to last. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
