The war room fell hard for Oluwafemi Oladejo, and it showed at slot 148: 93 picks ahead of a board that had other ideas. No fireworks, but a solid B+.
However the rest shakes out, Riley at that price is a win they earned. They robbed the room blind at the table, and it lifts the grade on its own.
The tight end hole is the one line item this class does not answer. The Jaylen Watson pickup adds a known quantity to a class of unknowns.
In sum, a sensible class that nudges the roster the right way.
Pick-by-Pick
In No. 31 they get juice off the edge at fair value.
They let Aireontae Ersery come to them and pounced at the 61st pick. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
A big swing on Savion Williams at the 79th overall pick, well ahead of any board in the building. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
This one needs a full-page explanation: Oluwafemi Oladejo in Round 5, Pick 9, miles early. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
A top-tier running back at a bargain, LeQuint Allen in slot 207, plain and simple. It fills a real need, too.
Jalen Travis in pick 238 is a reach so steep the board needed a second look to believe it. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
A cornerback of that caliber at the 250th pick is the definition of value, full stop. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
