B
New England Patriots
Maye is the plan now, and the Patriots grade out a B.

2024 NFL Draft
· 7 picks
· 1 steals
· 2 reaches
The Patriots spent the pick that matters most on Drake Maye, and a roster that has been waiting on a passer can start to take shape. Good, not great, and the B says as much.
Leaving edge rusher unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. The Holker reach is the anchor dragging on the value grade.
A competent weekend that does not make headlines and does not need to.
Pick-by-Pick
Drake Maye at Round 1, Pick 3 is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. The roster fit checks out.
In slot 25 they get a difference-maker at receiver at fair value. Exactly the need they had to hit.
Patrick Paul in the Round 3 slot is fair value, right on his grade. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
A reasonable price with a little left over, Cam Hart in pick No. 103. It adds depth where they could use a little.
They went early on Dallin Holker in the 137th overall pick, and the value did not follow. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
The board had cheaper options than Kendall Milton at No. 193, and it noticed. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
They let JD Bertrand come to them and pounced at the 231st pick. A quiet depth add at a thin-ish spot.
