Start where it matters. The Giants took Jayden Daniels to run the offense for the next decade, and every other decision this weekend bends around that one.
Sinnott has a lot of ground to make up just to look fairly priced. Leaving interior defensive lineman unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall.
On value alone, Jackson makes the weekend a net positive.
Add it up and it is a good, unfussy class.
Pick-by-Pick
In Round 1, Pick 6 they get a passer to set the clock by. A clean fit for the roster.
A straight-up fair deal on Chris Braswell at the 39th pick, value and slot in agreement. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Javon Bullard in pick No. 63 is fine work, a shade of surplus and no downside. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Xavier Legette at No. 70 is right where the board had him, plain and simple. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
They read the board right and Khyree Jackson was the payoff at pick 94. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
They did well to land Dominick Puni in the 98th overall pick, just ahead of his grade. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Ben Sinnott at slot 108 is the kind of overdraft that needs everything to break right. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
A premium they did not need to pay, Jarrian Jones a notch or two before his time. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
They paid sticker price for Kendall Milton in the 185th pick, and that is fine. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Nathaniel Watson slipping to Round 6, Pick 40 is the kind of luck good rooms make for themselves. Useful depth more than a marquee fix.
