This is the pick they will still be bragging about in July: Roman Wilson, the No. 83 name on the board, stolen at Round 5, Pick 1. They moved the roster forward and banked a B for it.

The cost of the Murphy reach is exactly the players who went right after him. They will regret leaving edge rusher for another day if the season turns on it. They left with cornerback solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off.

All told, a draft that does its job without fuss, and there is real value in that.
