The Lions went off the board in a big way for Dasan McCullough, 117 picks early. Conviction is one thing; this is another.

They lost the exchange badly enough to drag the whole class down. The linebacker spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at.

Everette falling to them is the kind of break a good board is built to catch. The Dion Dawkins pickup adds a known quantity to a class of unknowns.

Bottom line, they will be counting on several picks to beat their grades.
