The one they had to fix is still broken. The Bears left edge rusher untouched, and that omission hangs over an otherwise reasonable haul.
The McNeil-Warren value carries more weight than any single miss elsewhere. Job largely done: interior defensive lineman settled and 6 of 8 of the wish list covered.
In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the edge rusher spot they never got to.
Pick-by-Pick
In Round 1, Pick 25 they get a three-down second-level presence at a price that makes it sweeter.
They let Emmanuel McNeil-Warren come to them and pounced at pick 57. Depth more than a fix, but depth they can use.
Lee Hunter is a better player than No. 60 suggests; smart patience, rewarded. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Value with a capital V on Mike Washington Jr. in the 89th pick, a genuine coup. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Parker Brailsford at the 129th overall pick is right where the board had him, plain and simple. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
