You can draft well and still miss the point. The Cardinals did plenty of tidy work and somehow never got around to quarterback, which was the need that mattered most.
The Bond pick is the one they will point to when this weekend is judged. Wide receiver is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it. Building through the lines is a philosophy, and they stuck to it.
A fair-value weekend of trading, no edge to be found.
In short, they left a little better than they arrived, which is the whole idea.
