The Cowboys did not reach, did not trade up, did not blink. They just waited, and T.J. Sanders fell into pick 211. They moved the roster forward and banked a B+ for it.
The dealing alone would carry a lesser class. The cornerback hole is the one line item this class does not answer. Wide receiver was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.
In sum, a sensible class that nudges the roster the right way.
Pick-by-Pick
In Round 1, Pick 12 they get juice off the edge, outstanding value to boot.
Taking Ashton Jeanty in No. 76 is close to grand larceny; a running back that good had no business lasting this long. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Cam Ward in the 150th pick is the kind of fall that makes a whole class. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
A offensive lineman of that caliber at the 170th overall pick is the definition of value, full stop. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.

Circle this one: Tre Harris at slot 190 is a fall that decides a draft. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
They will replay T.J. Sanders at pick 211 for years; that is how good the value is. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
David Walker in the 249th overall pick is a gift, value that borders on unfair. Depth on depth, at a spot that was hardly crying out.
