Philadelphia Eagles

The Eagles robbed the room for Mills. Final grade: B.

The Eagles did not reach, did not trade up, did not blink. They just waited, and Rylie Mills fell into pick 152.

The Eagles indulged a want in McCullough while a need in cornerback, quarterback and other spots stayed open. A whole weekend of picks and cornerback is somehow still a want.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but cornerback.

Pick-by-Pick

R1.25 · Pick 25 · Harold Perkins Jr. · LB · rank 15
In pick No. 25 they get the heartbeat of the defense, and a steal at that. More want than need.
R3.19 · Pick 83 · Andrew Mukuba · S · rank 65
A top-tier safety at a bargain, Andrew Mukuba in the Round 3 slot, plain and simple. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
R3.22 · Pick 86 · Tre Harris · WR · rank 69
Tre Harris in No. 86 is a bargain the rest of the room will envy. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
R3.25 · Pick 89 · Oscar Delp · TE · rank 72
Value with a capital V on Oscar Delp in slot 89, a genuine coup. It fills a real need, too.
R3.31 · Pick 95 · Kaimon Rucker · DE-EDGE · rank 84
Nice patience on Kaimon Rucker, who had no business lasting to the 95th overall pick. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
R4.2 · Pick 98 · Nic Anderson · WR · rank 79
They will replay Nic Anderson at Round 4, Pick 2 for years; that is how good the value is. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
R4.19 · Pick 115 · Dasan McCullough · LB · rank 93
The eyebrow-raiser of the weekend. They went linebacker with Dasan McCullough while clear needs at cornerback, quarterback and other spots sat open.
R5.24 · Pick 152 · Rylie Mills · DT · rank 121
They barely believed it either: Rylie Mills still on the board at pick 152. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
R5.25 · Pick 153 · Jack Nelson · OT · rank 152
By-the-book stuff, Jack Nelson at slot 153 squarely in line with his ranking. A need, and now a little less of one.
R6.13 · Pick 173 · Lathan Ransom · S · rank 162
A slide stopped in pick No. 173, with Lathan Ransom worth more than the price. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
R6.14 · Pick 174 · Jaeden Roberts · OG · rank 170
Jaeden Roberts at the Round 6 slot is a sound buy, the sort that quietly helps a class. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
R6.25 · Pick 185 · Marques Cox · OT · rank 184
They paid sticker price for Marques Cox in the 185th overall pick, and that is fine. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
R7.2 · Pick 194 · Theo Wease Jr. · WR · rank 190
A reasonable price with a little left over, Theo Wease Jr. in the 194th pick. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
R7.10 · Pick 202 · Oronde Gadsden II · TE · rank 201
No edge and no loss on Oronde Gadsden II in Round 7, Pick 10; it is a wash and a sensible one. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
