If you want a masterclass in dealing, watch the Steelers, who turned every swap into a profit this weekend. It nets out to a B, which feels about right.
On value alone, Allen makes the weekend a net positive. The quarterback hole is the one line item this class does not answer. The Bisontis reach is the anchor dragging on the value grade.
All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but quarterback.
Pick-by-Pick
In Round 1, Pick 22 they get a weapon on the perimeter, reach and all.
A top-tier linebacker at a bargain, CJ Allen in the Round 2 slot, plain and simple. A need, and now a little less of one.
They went early on Chase Bisontis in No. 54, and the value did not follow. A quiet depth add at a thin-ish spot.
Domonique Orange slid further than he should have, and the 86th overall pick is lovely value for the interior defensive lineman. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.

Bud Clark at pick 121 is the steal of the weekend, a first-round talent at a bargain-bin price. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Tyren Montgomery at the 216th pick is right where the board had him, plain and simple. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Riley Nowakowski at No. 224 is the sort of value that quietly wins a weekend. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
