It is the swing that defines the weekend: Eyabi Okie-Anoma in the 219th overall pick, a good 66 spots before the room expected him.

For all the activity, quarterback went untouched, which is hard to explain. The Wallace steal is the beam this whole class leans on. Job largely done: edge rusher settled and 6 of 8 of the wish list covered.

A tidy weekend of work that should hold up just fine.

Pick-by-Pick

R1.25 · Pick 25 · Brian Thomas Jr. · WR · rank 27
In the Round 1 slot they get a No. 1 receiver at fair value. A clean fit for the roster.
R2.9 · Pick 41 · Edgerrin Cooper · LB · rank 49
The board had cheaper options than Edgerrin Cooper at Round 2, Pick 9, and it noticed. Useful body for a position without much behind the starter.
R2.26 · Pick 58 · Cooper Beebe · OG · rank 47
Cooper Beebe at No. 58 is money in the bank, a offensive lineman taken below his worth. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
R3.25 · Pick 88 · Dadrion Taylor-Demerson · S · rank 86
They took Dadrion Taylor-Demerson at par in pick 88, which is nothing to complain about. A minor itch, scratched.
R3.28 · Pick 91 · Dominick Puni · OT · rank 89
Dominick Puni in pick No. 91 is exactly on the number, no argument either way. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
R4.26 · Pick 126 · Jarrian Jones · CB · rank 136
Jarrian Jones at the 126th pick is a clear overpay, with better names still on the board. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
R5.33 · Pick 169 · Tykee Smith · S · rank 160
A tidy bit of business in slot 169, where Tykee Smith graded well above the range. It is more luxury than necessity; they were already set here.
R6.27 · Pick 202 · Logan Lee · DL · rank 211
Logan Lee in No. 202 is early enough to raise a brow, if not a full objection. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
R6.44 · Pick 219 · Eyabi Okie-Anoma · DL-EDGE · rank 285
They reached a country mile for Eyabi Okie-Anoma at the 219th overall pick, and the board is aghast. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
R7.25 · Pick 245 · Trevin Wallace · LB · rank 233
Trevin Wallace is a better player than the Round 7 slot suggests; smart patience, rewarded. A want more than a need, though you can never have too many.
R7.35 · Pick 255 · Kimani Vidal · RB · rank 253
Kimani Vidal in pick 255 is fair value, right on his grade. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
