There is conviction, and then there is this. The Packers took Eyabi Okie-Anoma a full 39 picks ahead of where the board had him, an overdraft steep enough that it colors the whole weekend. Solid and sensible more than spectacular: a B-.

With quarterback, tight end and other spots unsolved, spending premium capital on safety is the choice that costs them. Leaving quarterback unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but quarterback.
