There is reaching, and then there is Jalon Daniels at No. 80. The Cardinals jumped the board by 139 and dared it to prove them wrong.
Whatever else happened, they won the night they took Campbell. A whole weekend of picks and wide receiver is somehow still a want.
It nets out as a middle-of-the-pack haul that neither helps nor hurts much.
Pick-by-Pick
In the 18th overall pick they get a blindside protector, though the board says they badly overpaid. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
Nic Scourton in Round 2, Pick 17 lands just on the right side of the ledger. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
They reached into another round for Jalon Daniels, and the board is nowhere close to agreeing. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
They went early on Jason Marshall Jr. in slot 119, and the value did not follow. A minor itch, scratched.
