You can fall in love with a player. You are not supposed to marry him in the wrong round. The Patriots did exactly that with Jude Bowry in the 95th pick. Call it a sensible B-, earned the boring way.

The Caldwell pick alone nudges the whole weekend up a notch. The safety hole is the one line item this class does not answer. On the needs board they went 5 of 8, with edge rusher the one that mattered most.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but safety.
