The Bears spent the pick that matters most on Jayden Daniels, and a roster that has been waiting on a passer can start to take shape. No fireworks, but a solid B.
The interior defensive lineman hole is the one line item this class does not answer. On the needs board they went 5 of 8, with edge rusher the one that mattered most. The offense got the lion's share of the attention.
The phones were busy but the ledger stayed level.
In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the interior defensive lineman spot they never got to.

In No. 4 they get a cornerstone up front. A real need, handled.
In pick 9 they get a passer to set the clock by at fair value. A clean fit for the roster.
In slot 27 they get a true top target. A clean fit for the roster.
Bralen Trice in the 35th pick is exactly on the number, no argument either way. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
No drama and no debate, Cooper Beebe went about where he belonged in pick No. 75. It fills a real need, too.
Mike Sainristil in Round 3, Pick 16 is fair value, right on his grade. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
A market-rate tight end, with the board and the slot shaking hands on Ben Sinnott. Useful body for a position without much behind the starter.
