Whoever sat across the table from the Texans should ask for a receipt. They cleaned the room out, prying loose far more value than they gave up, and it was the quiet MVP of their weekend. The bottom line is a respectable B+.
On value alone, Skattebo makes the weekend a net positive. Leaving edge rusher unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall.
All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but edge rusher.
Pick-by-Pick
In the 25th overall pick they get an anchor for the defensive front. Exactly the need they had to hit.
They stopped a slide they were happy to see, landing Xavier Watts in slot 58. It adds depth where they could use a little.
Cam Skattebo in Round 4, Pick 26 is a gift, value that borders on unfair. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Logan Brown is a better player than No. 167 suggests; smart patience, rewarded. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
The board had LaJohntay Wester higher than the 243rd pick, and the wide receiver fell to them anyway. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
