The Dolphins robbed the room for Harris. Final grade: A-.

The Dolphins spent the weekend waiting on one name, and it fell: Tre Harris, the No. 17 name on the board, in slot 224. Very little went wrong, and the A- is earned.

Every deal seemed to tilt their way, which is not luck. They punted on interior defensive lineman, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest. Matt Goncalves gives the group a proven body among the projects.

Few war rooms will sleep better than this one tonight.

Pick-by-Pick

R1.16 · Pick 16 · Will Campbell · OT · rank 9
In slot 16 they get a cornerstone up front. A clean fit for the roster.
R2.10 · Pick 42 · Ashton Jeanty · RB · rank 3
You do not let a running back like Ashton Jeanty reach Round 2, Pick 10 and blink. They did not. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
R2.18 · Pick 50 · Quinn Ewers · QB · rank 6
They barely believed it either: Quinn Ewers still on the board at the Round 2 slot. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
R3.34 · Pick 98 · Tate Ratledge · OG · rank 38
The board fumbled Tate Ratledge all the way to pick 98, and they scooped it up. A need, and now a little less of one.
R3.35 · Pick 99 · Ashton Gillotte · DL-EDGE · rank 80
Steal is underselling it; Ashton Gillotte at No. 99 is a heist with the alarm still ringing. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
R4.10 · Pick 111 · Dylan Fairchild · OG · rank 66
Dylan Fairchild at the 111th overall pick is daylight robbery; nobody expected him to last. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
R4.16 · Pick 117 · Xavier Restrepo · WR · rank 16
Xavier Restrepo at pick No. 117 is the steal of the weekend, a first-round talent at a bargain-bin price. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
R5.10 · Pick 148 · Wyatt Milum · OT · rank 40
A top-tier offensive lineman at a bargain, Wyatt Milum in the 148th pick, plain and simple. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
R5.21 · Pick 159 · Garrett Nussmeier · QB · rank 48
Garrett Nussmeier in No. 159 is the kind of fall that makes a whole class. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
R7.10 · Pick 224 · Tre Harris · WR · rank 17
They will replay Tre Harris at pick No. 224 for years; that is how good the value is. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
R7.17 · Pick 231 · Jordan Hancock · CB · rank 30
They robbed the room for Jordan Hancock here, a fall nobody at the table saw coming. Useful body for a position without much behind the starter.
R7.35 · Pick 249 · Deontae Lawson · LB · rank 51
Deontae Lawson in slot 249 is a gift, value that borders on unfair. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
